[Bug 1301211] Re: Bluetooth not working on Thinkpad T430

I was able to enable bluetooth by following the instructions here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/383442/bluetooth-not-turning-on

This gets bluetooth working and I can use the wireless keyboard, but I
still can't pair the trackpad. Here is the syslog output when I try to
pair the device:

Apr 2 10:16:58 nostromo bluetoothd[2992]: Discovery session 0x7f6e333ada20 with :1.110 activated

Title:
Bluetooth not working on Thinkpad T430

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Fresh install of 14.04 final beta. When I tried to pair my bluetooth
devices (Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad) yesterday I got mixed
results. I could pair the keyboard after a couple of tries, but I also
got a kernel oops. Not sure if this happened when pairing the keyboard
or the trackpad, the bug report with the automatically generated logs
  can be found here:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1300698

After a restart today bluetooth seems to have stopped working
completely. The indicator applet is grayed out and I can't connect the
paired keyboard. Trying to switch on bluetooth in the indicator
applet's menu changes the status slider, but apparently nothing else
(keyboard still blinking, probably searching for a connection). When I
try to switch on bluetooth in the system settings the status slider
there changes to "on" for a moment, then reverts back to "off".
Restarting the bluetooth service in /etc/init.d does not help, either.
P.f.a. the output in /var/log/syslog from both actions.
