[Bug 1311187] Re: Screen brightness set to maximum on every boot on HP Pavilion dv6 TR7040x
I originally reported this issue at Bug #1268659, but created this new
bug upon advice by Christopher M. Penalver (penalvch).

Title:
Screen brightness set to maximum on every boot on HP Pavilion dv6
TR7040x
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
My laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6 TR7040x. Every time I (re)boot into
Ubuntu 14.04, the screen brightness is set to maximum. This happens
independent of my earlier setting. I reduce the brightness, and
continue my work. When I reboot, it is reset to maximum brightness.
This is a regression, and has existed since the daily builds of early
February. On the same laptop, Ubuntu 12.04.4 does not exhibit this
problem.
