Title:
zenbook ux302lg intel video driver fails
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Opening this per Bug #1263015.
I'm seeing this issue on a fresh 14.04 install. However, unlike 13.10,
using "nomodeset" and the generic SVGA X drivers seem to work enough
to start the display at its native resolution.
As you can see, the Intel driver isn't being loaded at all on my

Using the following intel-drm-next kernel, along with removing
"nomodeset" from my boot options, has allowed me to get the intel
driver working, like others have reported:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/current
/linux-image-3.14.0-997-generic_3.14.0-997.201404170342_amd64.deb
As well, the nvidia card seems to function correctly with bumblebee,
even with the intel-drm-next kernel. So hopefully we'll see a backport
of a newer kernel with these fixes into 14.04 at some point, perhaps
for 14.0.4.1?
