Ensure that you are running the latest version of aptdaemon
(1.1.1-1ubuntu5) as that should fix this issue. If after updating
aptdaemon you are still running into this issue, feel free to unmark

  Ubuntu Software Center wont install .deb files when ya attempt to install the *.deb of any sort it don't respond to and don't do any thing.
