[Bug 1314816] Re: H61N-USB3 with Realtek R8111E not connecting to DHCP on Trusty
Steeve Cottin, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. Would the ethernet work in an installed environment without
install drivers from Realtek, or would you have to utilize the drivers
from Realtek's website just to get the LED to blink?

Title:
10ec:8168 [Gigabyte H61N-USB3] Realtek R8111E not connecting to DHCP
on Trusty
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I am trying GIGABYTE motherboard (H61N-USB3) with a RTL8111E chip,
with the latest BIOS version (giving RTL8111F), and I installed the
"new driver" proposed by REALTEK (r8168-8.038.00, builded on
2014/01/08).
The card LED blinks (green & orange), but there is "no connexion" to
the local network (thru DHCP) ... on eth0.
So I connected a NET2USB key in order to access to the network ... on
eth1
