Title:
virtio-scsi not packaged in Precise installer kernel

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I'm trying to install Precise on a QEMU VM using the virtio-scsi
driver. The guest kernel driver, module virtio-scsi, doesn't seem to
be included, so my guest has no hard drives. I think this should be
packaged in the virtio-modules udeb. The LTS kernel package has the
module, so once Precise installs it should work fine.

  mwharris@mwharris-glaptop:~/Downloads$ dpkg-deb --contents virtio-modules-3.11.0-18-generic-di_3.11.0-18.32~precise1_amd64.udeb | grep virtio_sci
  mwharris@mwharris-glaptop:~/Downloads$

The newer Trusty installer has it though:

  mwharris@mwharris-glaptop:~/Downloads$ dpkg-deb --contents virtio-modules-3.13.0-24-generic-di_3.13.0-24.46_amd64.udeb | grep virtio_scsi
  -rw-r--r-- root/root 28044 2014-04-10 13:19 ./lib/modules/3.13.0-24-generic/kernel/drivers/scsi/virtio_scsi.ko
  mwharris@mwharris-glaptop:~/Downloads$
