Title:
boot appears hung after switching display
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
After the swap partition initialises the boot process hangs. This
makes it look like the swap process has failed. However if the swap is
disabled, upstart appears to fail which is previous in the bot
sequence. This is on the server version of 14.04. This error is
unrecoverable as only num-lock and CTRL-ALT-DEL seem to work, no other
terminal is accessible through keyboard combinations.
I have wiped the partitions and reinstalled and have had a running
version of the desktop (13.04) on the same drive.
The terminal is accessible via SSH however.
