  Ubuntu 14.04 reading CD/R + RW's

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  when ya put in a disk like a Blank CD/R or RW it reads it but it don't format or write on it at all
  Ive done tryed both Kernels 3.15* RC3 and 3.13.0.24 latest stable version as i know of and both dont read the CD's
