Title:
  perf samples too long

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I always see these lines in `dmesg` and wonder what these mean:
  [ 3805.057535] perf samples too long (2507 > 2500), lowering kernel.perf_event_max_sample_rate to 50000

They repeat often and I think the value
kernel.perf_event_max_sample_rate should be somehow optimized. How can
  I do that?

  Or it is a bug?

  Thanks
  Michael
