[Bug 1317522] Re: Hotplug of ExpressCard failed

Just checked with latest BIOS update from Dell... problem still exists.
Unfortunately I can't find any extra settings in BIOS, that controls the
power management and PNP/Hotplug support.

Title:
  Hotplug of ExpressCard failed

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I develop the driver for ExpressCard hardware manufactured by our company.
I installed the latest Ubuntu 14.04 just before the release of it on my Dell Latitude E6410
Today I found the problem with kernel, and was able to reproduce the problem with kernels starting from 3.9.
  Steps to reproduce
  Reboot PC with card
-- card detected, driver loaded. - OK
  Remove card
-- card still detected, driver doesn't unloads - Fail

  Reboot PC without card
  Insert card
-- No card detected - Fail
  issue 'echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan'
  -- Card detected - Ok?
  Remove card
-- Card still detected - Fail
  issue 'echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan'
-- Card still detected - Fail?

Tried to play with kernel 3.8 - everything works ok (need to load module acpiphp)
