thank you all for helping me to solve this out but as I thought it's
something that happens during an upgrade, I installed gnome-shell and
I'm able to log out freely also I did log out from guest session using
Unity. So it's just something that happen to my account during an
upgrade, I assume.

  [Asus K8N4-E] Log Out doesn't work using Control Panel Menu in 14.04

  Log Out option doesn't function. I have to wait like 30 seconds then
  it log outs but hangs for like 2 mins so I have to run a console to
  debug it.
