Realtek sent me a patch to fix the "skb->end - skb->tail > len"
problems. A version with this fix is at

http://www.lwfinger.com/realtek_drivers/linux-image-3.13.9_1.1_amd64.deb

I do not know if this fix will also handle the problems of #65. Please
test as I have never seen those messages.
