[Bug 1305522] Re: Backport Synaptics HID touchpad driver for 14.04

All works well on my end too. However "cat /proc/bus/input/devices" shows "PS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" on my XPS 13, which I believe has the HID-i2c. But multitouch gestures are present and lsmod presents me with:
lsmod | grep i2c_hid
i2c_hid 18860 0
hid 106148 4 i2c_hid,hid_multitouch,hid_rmi,usbhid

So I assume all is well. Additionally I have multitouch gesture
touchscreen too, not sure if this was present before or not but I just
noticed it.
