Re: [Bug 1270184] Re: [Fujitsu LIFEBOOK AH544] Touchpad not found

Hello Christopher,

I just had a look at the mentioned BIOS update and the following
functionality will be provided:

BIOS Version History: Current BIOS V. 1.15: Solved problems:
- Change CPU thermal management
- Disable SATA Aggressive Link Power.
- Fix Fan speed will always high after 3Dmark 11 running.
- Fix problem with Toshiba HDD Aquarious-BKnown errors, problems and
restrictions:
- None

That does not sound as if it would fix my problems with the touchpad and
in fact the touchpad works under Windows. I am pretty sure that the
problem is on Linux side and my personal wild guess is that there is a
new IF to the driver.

Viele Grüße,
Markus Warken

If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
> sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
