[Bug 1305522] Re: Backport Synaptics HID touchpad driver for 14.04

AceLan and Arash,

I also have an XPS13 Haswell Edition in the Dell lab. This unit does
NOT reproduce what Arash is seeing with your test kernel. In other
words, the PS/2 mouse does not show up in the xinput list. For my
system, xinput reports things as I expect to see them.

The touchscreen and touchpad are both working great. Also see my
earlier posts about tests in non-i2c synatpics hardware to ensure that
those devices did not regress.

Arash, did you happen to have any of the earlier workarounds in place
before applying Acelan's kernels, such as blacklisting the i2c_hid
drivers?
