[Bug 1245226] Re: HDMI: audio-video playback too fast
This should still be reopened as it occurs for me on a Chillblast
Defiant (Haswell/Optimus Architecture, Core i7 Processor and nVidia GTX
765M graphics) with Mint 17 running kernel 3.13.0-24 and I have also
tried the ubuntu mainline 3.14.4 kernel. In both cases HDMI sound is
about 20% fast whilst switching to normal audio output immediately slows
it down. Switching graphics processor makes no difference. Kernel
3.10.33 works fine as did 3.8.0 in Mint 15. We definitely have a
regression here somewhere between 3.10.33 and 3.13.0

Title:
HDMI: audio-video playback too fast
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
After upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10, selecting HDMI as audio output device
is broken. Audio is played back at high speed. When playing back video
clips, the video frames are also too fast. Note that, when selecting
headphone as audio output device, everything works.
