[Bug 1324085] Re: 14.04 64-bit desktop installation kernel core dump
Jerry Ji, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping
to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because as per

the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu -
Utopic Unicorn.
This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in
previous versions of Ubuntu, please perform as much as possible of the
SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention. As well,
one would want to fully reverse commit bisect the kernel in order to
identify the fix commit as outlined in

Bug description:
14.04 64-bit desktop installation kernel core dumps immediately upon
install starts on Dell XPS L502X laptop.

This is an 14.04 installation packaging issue because I'm running
14.04 now on this laptop upgraded from 13.10
