You may need to run the following:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

  Xubuntu 14.04 LTS  I was doing the update that Xubuntu told me was
  ready.  This is what happened as it was installing the updates it got
  to the linux-headers and I got the error message popping up.  Sorry I
  am not good at this stuff.
