[Bug 1325145] Re: Intel Advanced Centrino N 6235, Slow WIFI since 14.04

Ralph de Boom, as per http://www.service.asus.com/#!downloads/c1wax an update to your BIOS is available (207). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Thank you for your understanding.

** Description changed:

  Using Kubuntu 14.04 LTS here, upgraded from 13.10.

  Whenever I use the standard Kernel linux-image-3.13.0-27-generic thats
  from 14.04 I cannot get my WIFI to go faster than ~25mbit/sec download
  and about 10mbit/sec upload.

  However, once I boot back to linux-image-3.11.0-19-generic, my speeds go
  back to about 90-100mbit/sec download and 100mbit/sec upload too.
