Title:
ubuntu kernel 2.6.32-61 is unstable
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
The linux-image-2.6.32-61 generic-pae kernel is unstable. Running
this kernel, I am unable to load Google Chrome. Chrome just hangs and
doesn't load. In Firefox, I am unable to click anywhere on the menu
or right click anywhere in the browser. When I try to do these
actions, Firefox hangs. The Ubuntu Update Manager also hangs when
trying to click the Check button to refresh available packages to
upgrade. Due to these numerous problems I highly recommend against
using this kernel. Reverting to the 2.6.32-60 generic-pae kernel
these problems go away.
