Title:
[Dell Inspiron 1525] 14.04 fails to wake up from sleep when lid is
closed
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Using 14.04 (not a clean install, but upgraded from 13.10) in an
inspiron 1525: when the lid is closed the computer goes to sleep, even
though I have configured it in the settings to "do nothing" when
closing the lid. Then the screen fails to wake up after the lid is
oppened again. The OS seems to wake up since I can see the
HDD/bluetooth led flashing, but the screen remains black. Behaviour is
the same regardless of if the system is configured to lock after
closing the lid or not, or if asked to requiere password after waking
from lock or not. The only way to proceed from there is to reboot the
computer.
