[Bug 1308259] Re: ARM Cadence ethernet bloat in x86/_64 kernel.

 

The kernel team has decided that it is less maintenance to keep config
options consistent across all arches. The cost of an unused device
module is negligible (especially on modern x86 platforms). The best fix
is to convince upstream to qualify the config option by architecture or
platform.
