[Bug 1335409] Re: mousepad stopped working
Teo, as per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update to your BIOS is available (2.21). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't
have to create a new bug report. As well, you don't have to create a new
bug report.
For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
[Acer Aspire V3-571G] Mousepad stopped working
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I disconnected the external usb mouse and keyboard from my laptop, and
the builtin mousepad has stopped working. It doesn't respond to either
movement nor cliks.
I don't have any software installed to disable the mousepad when the
external mouse is connected. The mousepad usually does works whether
or not the external usb mouse is connected.
