[Bug 1239578] Re: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b]

 

Larry,

I'm trying to build the dkms because I'm not sure how to get the driver
up and running (I'm kind of a linux driver noob). I was under the
impression that installing 3.16-rcX would enable the driver but this is
not the case with my build. How do I enable the wireless driver on my
computer? Tried mod probe and it doesn't see the driver. I have that
rtl8192eefw.bin in my lib folder which was installed there on the stock
kernel. When I lspci, my kernel does report that it has identified the
card but there is no network interface going along with it.
