Title:
Dock not detected (Dell Latitude E6420 ; PR03X)
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
My Dell E6420 is plugged to a Dell PR03X dock, but I cannot seem to
find a corresponding device under /sys or /proc/acpi. Notably, there
is no /sys/devices/platform/dock.0
As a result, it seems that no kernel event is fired on (un)docking,
thus making it quite difficult to automatically adjust monitor/display
settings accordingly.
I am really using the TuxOnIce variant of the mentioned kernel
version, but the problem occurs in the official version as well.
Ubuntu was installed on this laptop while it was not plugged to the
dock, using the Alternate (text based) installer.
