[Bug 1332063] Re: Support memoryless nodes in Ubuntu kernel
I verified that the performance is the equivalent of upstream with
3.13.0-32-generic. There is still work to be done upstream but this gets
us quite a bit further.

Bug description:
Several patches have gone upstream recently that improve powerpc's
handling of memoryless nodes. These can be present in guests, but more
importantly can be seen in Power8 host/PowerNV systems due to the
manufacturing population of DIMMs.
Upstream commits:
81c98869faa5f3a9457c93efef908ef476326b31 (kthread: ensure locality of
task_struct allocations)
844e4d66f4ec3b6b6d3bcfcfba3ade2b962771e2 (slub: search partial list on
numa_mem_id(), instead of numa_node_id())
8c272261194dfda11cc046fbe808e052f6f284eb (powerpc/numa: Enable
USE_PERCPU_NUMA_NODE_ID)
64bb80d87f01ec01c76863b61b457e0904387f2f (powerpc/numa: Enable
CONFIG_HAVE_MEMORYLESS_NODES)
