Title:
Blank screen after wake up from suspend by lid close

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Opened as suggested in comment #152 on bug
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1283938.

After suspending system by lid close X does not wake up. System is
running, I can switch to getty (e.g. ALT-F1) but going to X gives me
blank screen. CTRL-ALT-Backspace reboots X and all returns to normal
(except that all unsaved work is lost). This problem does not occur
when I manualy suspend system using proper menu.
