[Bug 1239578] Re: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b]

 

Hi imker,

I just followed all the steps you mentioned, but the console log says it
is unable to find the module rtl8192ee. Do you mean rtl8192ee-dkms ?

If I go for rtl8192ee-dkms I get the following log :
ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-3.16.0-031600rc6-lowlatency is not supported

I think I downloaded the latest debs from the URL above. I installed
both llinux-headers-<version>-owlatency and normal linux-
headers-<version> in my system. This is causing the issue.

Please let me know correct package and I will try to remove lowlatency
and try out again.

  We have seen this wireless card on some laptops, id is [10ec:818b],
  driver is RTL8192EE.

  Status: waiting for this driver being moved out of staging directory.
