  Laptop Screen Black (but lit) on Resume from Suspend

Bug description:
  On 14.04 64-Bit, resume from suspend works most of the time but fails
  at random intervals. The screen is lit but black. Ctrl + Alt + F1-F8
  keys do not work. Caps lock light does not respond to key presses.
  Only option is to poweroff. Dell Latitude E5530.
