linux-image-3.13.0-34-generic renders Asus K52N unbootable

Bug description:
I just upgraded to latest released kernel for trusty and a K52N Asus
laptop is unable to boot anymore: kernel crashes at startup.
I attach the output of lspci -vnvn
(I had to boot with linux-image-3.13.0-32-generic to use the system
again)
