Gašper Sedej, thank you for updating your BIOS. Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (not the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested exactly shown as:
kernel-fixed-upstream-3.17-rc1

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil
icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:

Title:
  Asus EeePC 1101HA PowerButton not working

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  The power button stopped working with Ubuntu 14.04. The main issue is
  that it's not possible to wake up laptop from suspend (does not react
  to other keys/laptop lid)

  I did reaserch - the last working kernel is 3.12.26, from 3.13-rc1 it
  does not work anymore. I also tested 3.16 but still does not wokr.

  The problem is probably ACPI call which is connected with modules eeepc-laptop and eeepc-wmi
  - eeepc-laptop: "older", gets loaded when apci-osi=Linux . Work everything (except now power button)
  - eeepc-wmi: "newer", no kernel parameter. Very little works. does not work wifi hotkey (Fn+F2), and some others. I was not able to use wlan with -wmi module.

  I was suggested to do the bisecting, but I do not have time at the moment
  Also the eeepc-laptop module did not change much from 3.12 to 3.13
