ciryon, given the drivers are offered in 32-bit, but not x64, this may
that ubuntu-drivers-common is not configured appropriately to offer the
drivers for x64. Let an investigation into this be the next step.

Bug description:
  Hello

  I've switched from ubuntu 14.04 32 bits to 14.04 64 bits.

  In the additional driver tab of my system parametrers, the usual
  nvidia proprietary driver which wera appearing in the 32 bits version
  does not appears in the 64 bits version.

  As a workaround, I've installed this PPA : https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa but the system refuses to add the updates after this PPa is installed because it says the updates have not been verified....I have not have this problem on 32 bits...
