[Bug 1359501] Re: ahci_xgene: Skip the PHY and clock initialization if already configured by the firmware

 

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
trusty' to 'verification-done-trusty'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

Bug description:
  [IMPACT]
  Some disk types will never be seen after boot, while others can disappear after a reboot.

  This patch implements the feature to skip the PHY and clock
  initialization if it is already configured by the firmware.

  [TEST CASE]
  Repeatedly reboot the system.

  [Regression Potential]
  Only affects the the xgene ahci driver.
