[Bug 1370365] Re: After the last `apt-get update` the screen backlight is turned off.

With v3.13.11.5 the screen backlight is tourned on :)

However I have noticed that the backlight switch (which should let the
adjustment of the backlight volume) seems not change anything.

Linux Vostro-5470 3.13.11-03131105-generic #201407181735 SMP Fri Jul 18 21:35:58 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Title:
After the last `apt-get update` the screen backlight is turned off.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Cause: After the last `apt-get update` and system `reboot` the screen backlight is turned off.
Expected: The screen is expected to have the backlight turned on or at least to be able to set it on.

  Comment:
The last update has updated the linux kernel and kernel headers package. After booting up with the new kerlnel the screen backlight has turned off after a second (right after the system boot). I have not found any way to torn it on, no mether if I increase or decrease the backlight setting and no mether if the system is working on batery or with the power cord attached.
I am running Ubuntu Desktop 14.04 LTS at Dell Vostro-5470.
