Re: [Bug 1375353] Re: kswapd0 100% cpu usage

Good afternoon,

I was able to get this resolved, by following your advice and taking the
following steps:

I used the following commands to update my kernel on my server:
1. sudo aptitude update
2. sudo aptitude safe-upgrade
3. sudo aptitude full-upgrade

Unfortunately, this messed up my MySQL database, and gave me the
following error in Fog:

http://fogproject.org/forum/attachments/screenshot-
from-2014-08-18-16-43-16-png.1298/

which fortunately, was resolved by following the instructions on the Fog
server forum:

http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/fog-is-inoperable-after-server-
reboot.11460/

Specifically, the following is what corrected the database issue:

Code:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.5

Now, I no longer have the issue of kswapd0 running my CPU to 100% and my
Fog server is working as expected. It was a little more than I was
expecting for a fix, but I’m just happy it worked.

Thanks,

@dutcherm:

Can you please try the latest Trusty (3.13) kernel and see if the
problem persists. There have been numerous fixes since then and this
issue may already be solved.

Thanks,
