The issue can be reproduced with an Asus ML248H (
http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/ML248H/ ) connected via D-Sub.
and  ViewSonic VS15562 but can not with Benq E2200HD LCD

Bug description:
  The  system hang on "Log in" screen when performing suspend in Ubuntu 14.04.
  When issue occurred,Keyboard/Mouse not respond. Press power button once also no response.
  Need to shutdown system via long press power button.
