It's derived from the 2.11 driver from realtek

realtek supplied a 2.12 as well ( upload here http://bit.ly/rtl8723bebt
) but it does not compiled on Kernel 3.13.

  Realtek RTL8723BE bluetooth not working (OnHp 430 g2)

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Ubuntu recognices bluetooth card, it appears the icon on the status
  bar but never find any device during scanning, I neither connect to
  other devices using  comand: hidd --connect aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff. Despite
  the "Visible" tag is active the device isn't found by any others.
