Title:
  please build and test the 14.04 LTS linux kernel using an updated
  toolchain

Status in “linux” source package in Trusty:

Bug description:
  To better support the new architectures arm64 and ppc64e, we are
  planning to update the toolchain for 14.04 LTS. The toolchain is able
  to build the kernels in 14.04 LTS, but please confirm that the kernels
  built by this toolchain still work as expected.

  please open tasks for the other kernel sources as well.

  The updated toolchain is in the ubuntu-toolchain-r/ppa PPA.
