We recently discovered a bug in the upstream Linux kernel. It was
  fixed by this patch

  https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/10/1/35

and that patch is scheduled to be included in powerpc tree.

When it is included, we should back port to Ubuntu 14.10 or next
  release.
