Updated BIOS, upon reboot black screen with 'booting in insecure mode'
then the sda3_crypt login is required at which point the keyboard is not working.

Upon 2nd restart, grub with boot with generic or boot with recovery mode appears.
generic will freeze on during Loading initial ramdisk...

Upon 3rd restart, boot with recovery mode is selected, then I am
prompted for the sda3_crypt password, taking me to the user login.

sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
