[Bug 823106] Re: Kernel panic - not syncing: smp_callin: CPU1 started up but did not get a callout on macbook running oneiric

Bug still exists on Kubuntu 14.04, kernel vmlinuz-3.13.0-37-generic. Not
on every boot, but well over half of them. After boot, second CPU (core)
is not available.

l$ lscpu

$ dmesg | grep -i smp

[   10.202969] smpboot: CPU1: Not responding

[ 0.124000] Kernel panic - not syncing: smp_callin: CPU1 started up but did not get a callout!

Having to repeat the boot several times in order to get both cores
running is to my mins a major bug!
