Title:
Ubuntu freeze on boot, hardware incompatibility (HP Compaq nx9005)

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello!
I'm trying to use Ubuntu on my notebook HP nx9005 but when I boot it shows a black page and I can't run and install it!
I tried with earlier version, kubuntu and alternative cd too...nothing...

As this user said (italian) it may be a problem with the "DDC":
  http://www.giovy.it/2009/04/06/problem-solving-su-installazione-ubuntu-810-intrepid-ibex/#IDComment18289232

It's an hardware problem (I've an old Radeon IGP 320M)...

  I'm not the only one:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/11941

How can I get Ubuntu working?
I've tried both safe graphic mode and "linux acpi=off no lapic" but it freeze anyway!! :(
