Message #90133
[Bug 863034] [NEW] Strange Brightness Key Behavior
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
This report is for Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 2 installed cleanly on a Dell
Latitude D620 with Intel integrated 950 graphics. After the screen
blanks after inactivity, pressing the Fn-Brightness up key makes the
brightness go up, but in a "staggered" way instead of one step at a
time. If starting from a blank screen of zero brightness, then here is
how it goes:
First press: level 3
Second press: level 1
Third press: level 4
Fourth press: level 2
Fifth press: level 5
Sixth press: level 3
And so on until it reaches maximum brightness. I am inclined to think it
is more of a Gnome 3 issue as opposed to Ubuntu specific becuase the
brightness keys work fine in 11.04.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Low
Status: Incomplete
