Title:
X freezes upon laptop lid closing/opening
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I have an ASUS X52JC laptop. I've set my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
installation to blank the screen, when I close the laptop lid and the
laptop is plugged in to AC power. When I open the lid, it is either a
grey screen (kind of mozaic appearence) or the screen as it is
supposed to be, but inresponsive. The mouse moves, but the system
doesn't respond to clicks. The only solution is to reboot the
computer. Ctrl-Alt-F1 does work, however. Suspend and hibernate modes
also work, the problem is only in the "blank screen" mode.
