Christopher,

The bug does not affect me any longer.  I dropped back a version and 
then moved to 14.10 when it was released.  I've also since then retired 
that laptop.

  Lubuntu 14.04 wireless fails

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Lubuntu 13.10 wireless worked flawlessly.  Installing a new install
  with 14.04 and there is no wireless at all.  This is the same on
  another laptop as well.  The adapters are

  Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express)(rev01)

  Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG[Calexico2] Network Connection
  (rev05)
