[Bug 1377886] [NEW] Touchscreen on Sony Vaio Pro 13 no longer functioning

Following recent system updates on Ubuntu 14.04, the touchscreen on my
Sony Vaio Pro 13 does not appear to function.

xinput returns:

whilst xinput test 2 gives no output at all.
