[Bug 1229252] Re: 8086:2a42 [Packard Bell EasyNote TK36] Ubuntu 12.04.3: black screen

 

I'm using Ubuntu 14.10 and this bug also affects me.

Using the workaround provided by Alex sort of works, because the screen
is black most of the time, only works in Unity, if i log out, it becomes
black again.

Bug description:
  On a Packard Bell Easynote TK36-AV-105, the black screen first appears
  in Ubuntu 11.04 and all versions released since 11.04 (kernel 3.x?).
  There is a visual with bootoption nomodeset.
