Title:
  nvidia-settings should depend on pkg-config and python-gtk

Status in nvidia-settings package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in nvidia-settings source package in Oneiric:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nvidia-settings

  nvidia-settings uses pkg-config and python-gtk2 to read/write
  xorg.conf.

If they are not installed, nvidia-settings will work mostly fine (you
can choose new resolutions, configure dual screen, etc and apply
changes) but when you try to save your configuration, it will either
not write anything, or write a corrupt xorg.conf.

This is mostly noticed on Kubuntu because python-gtk2 is not needed on
Kubuntu, and pkg-config will only be installed by developers.

This is probably the root cause of bugs LP 439192 and LP 286424
