[Bug 1325200] Re: Missing iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes connection problems
Not sure which release you're using, but the -8 firmware should be
present now wherever it can be used, so I'm closing this bug.
** Changed in: linux-firmware (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Fix Released

Title:
Missing iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes connection problems
Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
My WIFI card (Intel AC7260) looses connectivity every 15-45 minutes.
The network applet shows that I'm still connected to the WLAN but no
packets can be send. When I disconnect and reconnect in the applet it
works again.
The problem gets fixed by either installing
/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode from
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=iwlwifi-7260-ucode-22.24.8.0.tgz
or disabling 802.11n mode in the driver.
