[Bug 1402335] Re: scanimage -L finds fitjitsu 04c5:11fc but if repeated does not find it
simple-scan:
if i plug it in it finds it but does not scan; on the first pass. after it exits, it does not find any scanner until i physically re-plug it in.
lsusb shows the scanner all the time while it is plugged in
i replaced the scanner with the logitech to see if the plug work without rebooting.. and the mouse works fine.
the snapshot was with the logitech plugged in.

Using my System76 gazel, with a fully updated Ubuntu GNOME 14.04, my
Fujitsu 6110 Scanner doesn't work via either USB 2.0 or 3.0.

if i re-plug it and type:
scanimage -L

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
Re-plug it back and type:
scanimage

while I'm getting the error on scanning, I'm not sure this is a usb2 usb3 xhci_hcd issue as per dmesg:

even though a 'no find scanner' after the error the lsusb above
remains the same.
WORKAROUND: The scanner works perfectly on a USB 2.0 port in Ubuntu
12.04 system with no driver added.
